Which factors affecting the quality of refining pulp?
2025-08-16
The factors including pulp refing consistency, preheating temperature, pressure and time, refining energy consumption and distribution, refining clearance, refiner plates characteristics and usage status, raw materials and chemical treatment effects, refiner load fluctuations, etc.
1.Pulp refining consistency
2.Preheating temperature, pressure and time
As a preheating chemical mechanical pulp, the "glassy" softening point temperature of lignin should not be exceeded during pretreatment and pulping.
Above or below 120-135℃, the properties of the pulp will be completely different. Actual production shows that at a pressure of 98-294KPa, steaming for 1-2 minutes is sufficient to preheat the wood chips. If it exceeds 294KPa, the whiteness and opacity of the pulp will decrease significantly, and the power consumption will increase.
If the steam pressure is lower than 98KPa, the fiber bundle content will increase. Generally, the grinding chamber pressure should be controlled at 100-130KPa.
3.Refining energy consumption and distribution
The main factors affecting refining energy consumption are: log type, refining concentration, wood chip pretreatment, refiner plates bar pattern and status, etc. Fiber decomposition and single fiber fibrillation both require energy.
It is generally believed that the energy consumption of a pressure mill should account for 50-60% of the total energy consumption.
