Stainless steel abrasive discs and ordinary abrasive discs

Materials and Uses
The main difference between stainless steel abrasive discs and conventional abrasive discs is their material and use.
Stainless steel abrasive discs usually contain less than 18% ferritic stainless steel and have good cutting performance because their organization is slightly brittle and the chips break easily. These types of abrasive discs are difficult to cut because they are sticky and have long chips, and cutting these grades is similar to cutting austenitic stainless steel. In contrast, traditional grinding discs in grinding stainless steel, although it does not lead to material deterioration, but in the high temperature of the intergranular body of the abrasive disc will produce changes, which may lead to slight bending or to the tube misalignment, especially in the grinding process occurs in the sanding transition phenomenon, tempering may occur, resulting in the composition of the overflow of changes.
In addition, stainless steel abrasive discs are mainly used for surface polishing and finishing of metal materials such as stainless steel, while ordinary abrasive discs are more suitable for grinding and polishing of general metal materials. For example, green abrasive discs are usually used for rough grinding or removing large burrs, and are suitable for surface polishing and finishing of metal materials such as stainless steel, iron, steel, etc.; yellow abrasive discs are a kind of medium-hardness abrasive discs, which are widely used for surface grinding, and can be used for removing fine burrs and leveling the surface, and are also suitable for surface treatment of metal materials such as stainless steel, copper, aluminum, alloys, etc.
In general, stainless steel abrasive discs are more suitable for fine processing and surface treatment of specific metal materials such as stainless steel due to their special material and design, while traditional abrasive discs are more suitable for grinding and polishing of general metal materials.
